Dr. Patricia Bloom is an advanced transplant hepatology fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training at MGH. She performs clinical and translational research to improve outcomes in chronic liver disease. Dr. Bloom was a MIT Idea2 Global Winner, a competitive mentorship program in medical innovation. In the last two years, she has been working with Partners Connected Health to pilot the use of a Smartphone app for the management of chronic liver disease. She has been recently supported by awards from the National Institutes of Health, American College of Gastroenterology, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the MGH Innovation Program, and the Partners HealthCare Centers of Expertise.
