Jim Harper, PhD
Jim is the co-founder and chief operating officer of Sonde Health. He was previously with MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he worked for 15 years to help grow new biotechnology and bioengineering capabilities and teams. During his time there as a senior staff scientist, he built and led a series of biotechnology prototyping and system development programs to rapidly transform laboratory biotechnology proofs-of-concept to prototypes and deployed systems that have impacted national security capabilities and applications in biodefense, human DNA identification and characterization, and human health and performance monitoring. Jim received his BS in biochemistry from Furman University, his PhD in biochemistry from MIT, and was a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School in the Center for Neurologic Diseases.
