Astrid Chow is a Senior UX Product Design Lead and Strategist at IBM Watson Health (Cambridge, MA) where she leads trans-disciplinary teams focused on user experience design related to AI and healthcare. She is passionate about consumer health products and services that facilitate behavior activation and change, with careful considerations for existing healthcare disparities, social and behavioral determinants of health, and health literacy in an AI environment. Astrid serves as a board member for the User Experience Professionals’ Association (UXPA) Boston Chapter. Additionally, she is a frequent guest speaker, panelist, and organizer at events such as the IA Summit, O’Reilly’s AI Conference, UXSTRAT, and most recently at ACM's Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW) conference, where she has presented her series, "Ethics & AI: Designing for Healthcare" . She holds an MBA in Strategy and an MS in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University.
