Dive into the 2019 Connected Health Conference theme: Designing for Healthy Habits & Better Outcomes.

Design. Data. Decisions: These are the iterations of change. This is our focus. The devices, data and market demand are in place to support a major shift in human health through connected health technologies. The Connected Health Conference is where the future of health resides.

  • Consumerization – the ‘retailing’ of health, from workplace health to clinical and non-traditional care delivery and ‘self health’; marketing, tactics and technologies for personalization and engagement; clinician wellbeing; acceptance and adoption; best practices from other industries applied to health (from retail, manufacturing, agriculture, auto, food industry, etc.); patient voice, ageism in society, designing a culture of health and healthy cities
  • D2: Data & Decisions – case studies and clinical studies from the past year, presenting new evidence supporting significant influence and impactful outcomes through UX for clinicians, workflow and data, privacy and security; interoperability, patient access to data, applications of AI, predictive analytics, machine learning
  • Health Behavior – prevention, behavioral medicine, wellness, new evidence, interaction of device or program design and behavioral medicine; engagement
  • Connecting Across the Lifespan – health prevention and disease intervention strategies across the decades, reimagining ‘old age’ across the decades (50-100!), healthy communities and connectivity, population health and digital health targeting ages and stages of life

This is the moment for design—the art of putting it all together. This is the place for the designers of tomorrow: the patients, providers, executives, investors and officials reimagining health and wellness. At CHC19, we will explore the transformation of health through system, product, service and behavior change design, and the drivers for change. We’ll cover the 'retailing' of health, personalization and engagement, clinician wellbeing, workflow and data, UX for clinicians, data analytics, AI and prediction,  health behaviors and behavioral medicine, wellness and prevention, new clinical and market evidence and emerging technologies. Sessions will also present case studies, interoperability, healthy communities, population health and policy, regulatory and ethical issues.

The Connected Health Conference convenes a diverse, C-suite audience of changemakers, including innovative providers, technology and life sciences executives, investors, academics and government officials. This year's event will include new opportunities to interact with potential partners and experts, curated networking, consolidated exhibit floor hours and high-value content that’s been carefully honed, so attendees’ time at Connected Health Conference is laser- focused. Immersion Day sessions are now included with the CHC general registration fee.

The agenda will feature TED-style 20-minute keynotes, poster sessions, interactive panels, debates and interviews, the Health Tech StandOut! Competition, demos of new and game-changing technologies and an exhibit hall showcasing the latest global developments and innovations.

The Connected Health Conference is hosted by the Personal Connected Health Alliance, a HIMSS innovation company, in collaboration with Partners Connected Health. Joseph C. Kvedar, MD, Vice President, Connected Health at Partners HealthCare, is serving as Program Chair for the event, and is a Board member and Senior Advisor to PCHAlliance.
