Melinda Thiel is Vice President, Customer Marketing & Solutions, Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies. In this role, she is responsible for partnering across Johnson & Johnson and with health systems to develop and deploy end-to-end capabilities and solutions to reduce costs, improve outcomes and advance patient satisfaction.
Melinda is a seasoned executive with a strong track record of leading transformational change and delivering results in multiple healthcare settings.
Prior to Johnson & Johnson Melinda worked in multiple areas of the healthcare system including health plans, hospitals and pharmacy benefit management. Right before joining Johnson & Johnson, Melinda served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy Integration and Business Transformation and led a large-scale transformation for Healthfirst, a NYC-based, not-for-profit, health system-owned managed care organization. In that role, she was responsible for the successful development and execution of critical initiatives designed to drive Healthfirst’s growth agenda and advance the shift from fee-for-service to value-based care. Prior to that, Melinda was with Medco Health Solutions(Express Scripts) in multiple roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately as Vice President of Personalized Medicine, where she was responsible for operations, sales and product management for the Personalized Medicine portfolio.
Melinda holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from William Paterson University and a Masters in Health Care Management from the College of St. Elizabeth.
