CONNECTED HEALTH CONFERENCE • Boston, MA • October 25-27, 2017
In previous blog posts, I shared how the Connected Health Conference has evolved over the past nine years, most notably, merging the Partners Connected Health Symposium to create the largest global platform for digital and connected health. I've also highlighted the exciting focus on innovation at this year's Conference, from special deep dive sessions exploring digital therapeutics, artificial intelligence and voice-activated technologies, to the new Innovation Lounge featuring innovation centers and novel collaborations that are advancing new approaches to addressing some of healthcare's biggest challenges. And, after eight years in Washington, DC, we will now host the event in the heart of Boston's Innovation District!
It really is a must-attend event this year….
The agenda for the presentation stage in the new Innovation Lounge is close to final, and includes some truly innovative content where companies like Intel, IBM, Cognizant, MDRevolution and Becton Dickinson will reveal novel initiatives. We will also hear about groundbreaking programs from the CDC Immunization Project, HHS Idea Lab and data from the Digital Doctor Survey conducted by IPSOS, and PCHAlliance and HIMSS Analytics will discuss results of a recent connected health survey. Rounding out the presentations will be the live pitch sessions to determine the winner of the 7th annual HealthTech Standout! Competition (formerly the Innovators Challenge, a highly popular event featured at the Partners Connected Health Symposium). From over 150 applications, ten companies have been selected to present a rapid-fire demo, showcasing the most innovative and game-changing products in the connected health industry. Dr. Joe Kvedar will also share a preview of his new book, The New Mobile Age, How Technology Will Extend the Healthspan and Optimize the Lifespan.
We have also extended our innovation programming to include a fifth track, focusing on health system innovation projects, outcomes and processes. In this highly unique format, you'll hear from some of the leading partnerships that are disrupting and redesigning healthcare delivery, including PULSE@MassChallenge, Healthbox, Intermountain Healthcare, Brigham Digital Innovation Hub, Johns Hopkins Medicine Technology Innovation Center and MITRE. Last minute adds to the agenda are ensuring you will experience the latest in technology and innovation.
Our new poster session, held in collaboration with the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR), will feature over 50 top-notch presentations that share methodologies and findings from connected health-related research. And, Partners Connected Health is hosting the Connected Health Innovation Challenge, to identify novel ideas from Partners employees addressing a current concern in preventive care or chronic disease management. Finalists will present their technology-enabled solutions during a panel session addressing the challenges and opportunities of running an innovation program, Creating an Innovation Ecosystem to Disrupt Healthcare from Within.
We are also shaking up the exhibition floor to create a dynamic, interactive and business-added experience. No longer a ‘trade show’ atmosphere, the exhibit floor is designed to facilitate collaborations, networking and, especially, innovation! We have carved out important time for networking, including dedicated floor hours (Thursday and Friday, 10:40 AM - 12:40 PM), receptions and more.
Come and experience what's new at CHC17, connect with colleagues and potential business partners, and benefit from the nearly 50 sessions, dinners, meet-ups and special presentations featuring nearly 200 speakers sharing their wisdom, experience and vision. CHC17 is the place to be, October 25-27, and we hope to see you there.
