CONNECTED HEALTH CONFERENCE • Boston, MA • October 25-27, 2017
Can virtual reality (VR) be used to effectively treat or support the treatment of symptoms and medical conditions? Brennan Spiegel, MD of Cedars-Sinai Health System is proving this every day. He studies therapeutic virtual reality for treating pain and phobias and demonstrating the cost effectiveness of using VR as an alternative to pharmaceuticals and other invasive treatments. He is also exploring how VR can be used in medical simulations to train healthcare professionals in a variety of settings.
He will join others including a patient advocate on a panel at the Connected Health Conference which will explore applications of virtual reality that are emerging within healthcare in simulation, therapies, surgery and education.
