CONNECTED HEALTH CONFERENCE • Boston, MA • October 25-27, 2017
Presented by the Personal Connected Health Alliance in partnership with Partners Connected Health, CHC17 takes place in Boston, October 25-27
WASHINGTON, DC and BOSTON, OCTOBER 3, 2017 -- The 2017 Connected Health Conference (CHC17) will explore how connected health technologies and tools can support healthy aging across the decades.
This year's theme, The Connected Life Journey: Shaping Health and Wellness for Every Generation, reimagines health and wellbeing throughout the life cycle, emphasizing new research, evidence and real-world examples, business models and actionable knowledge to support adoption and implementation of personal connected health at every age and stage of life.
"With advances in technology and connected health tools to better manage health, inspire wellness and combat depression and isolation, we can help people remain engaged, vital and contributing to society with a sense of purpose," said Richard Scarfo, Vice President, PCHAlliance, and Director of the Connected Health Conference. "CHC17 includes panel discussions, keynotes, product demos and poster presentations to help us create better solutions, inspire innovation and enable new partnerships that will improve health and wellness at every age and stage of life."
Envisioning The Connected Life Journey
The closing plenary panel includes some of the greatest minds in aging and connected health, coming together to explore The Connected Life Journey:
Additional programming highlights include innovative approaches, novel collaborations and new technologies and products -- from health and wellness trackers and artificial intelligence to robots and even toys -- that will help people live longer, healthier lives. Some of these tools are enhancing or replacing direct social interaction and otherwise support healthy aging in a population that is often isolated or lonely, while others are promoting active lifestyles and helping to manage chronic disease.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 2015 and 2050, the world's population over 60 years of age will nearly double, from 12% to 22%. People are living longer, while the number of healthcare providers and caregivers is shrinking. Connected health provides an important solution to address limited healthcare resources, facilitate patient engagement, promote patient-provider communication and create opportunities to better diagnose and manage health conditions.
With a revitalized focus and new location in Boston -- a hub of health and technology innovation -- CHC17 combines PCHAlliance’s Connected Health Conference (formerly the mHealth Summit) and the Partners Connected Health Symposium, creating the preeminent event dedicated to digital and connected health. CHC17 takes place October 25-27 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.
